Kathryn joined the Burts Law team in 2022 as a Law Clerk. Now an accomplished attorney, her practice primarily focuses on a broad range of civil disputes, including contract, tort, and personal injury claims, as well as employment matters. Kathryn is a dedicated advocate for employees who have experienced discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, workplace harassment, or other unlawful treatment while on the job. While in law school, she interned for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Federal Hearings Unit, where she gained valuable insight into the adjudication of employment discrimination claims and deepened her commitment to workplace justice.
A proud alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), Kathryn graduated with a B.A. in Public Policy and Philosophy. She went on to earn her law degree from Campbell University School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship. During her time at Campbell, she was actively involved in pro bono work, co-managed the Campbell Law Innocence Project from 2023 to 2024, and served as a Staff Writer for the Campbell Law Observer.
Born and raised in Newton, North Carolina, Kathryn is passionate about giving back to her community by helping clients navigate difficult circumstances and the complexities of the legal system. Outside of the office, she enjoys live music, spending time with her family, and traveling.
